Kingman Route 66 Celebration isn’t just a festival. It was a full-blown tribute to the soul of the Mother Road.

Historic Lewis Kingman Park — once a shady sanctuary for travelers baking under the Arizona sun — transforms into a vibrant gathering space, with music, engines, neon, vintage charm, and echoes of classic Americana at every corner. The trees still whisper road trip stories, but for two days, the park sings.

What to Expect? Everything.

From rockin’ bands to regional craft beers on tap in the beer garden, it’s a two-day celebration of Route 66 culture. Expect rows of classic cars, polished bikes, restored vintage trailers that double as nostalgia on wheels, a photobooth to capture your 1950s alter ego, and kids laughing their way through activity zones.

And don’t miss the zipline — the first and only one in Kingman. Yes, you can actually fly over the crowd while holding a hot dog in one hand and a camera in the other (maybe not recommended, but theoretically possible).

It's all free to attend, with public parking right next door at the corner of Andy Devine Ave and Fairgrounds Ave.

The Weekend

✦ Friday, October 13 | 3PM–8PM

The gates swing open at 3PM — and from that moment on, it’s full throttle.

  • Story Hour: Hear tales from Angel Delgadillo, one of Route 66’s most beloved voices.

  • Neon Dreams: Catch a live demo from Legacy Signs and see glowing signs come to life.

  • Music, Music, Music: From Robert Kramer to The Jonathan Lee Band, with a cameo by Garlin Hackney.

  • Meet the Historians: Dive into Route 66 lore with author Roger Naylor and Marshall Shore, the self-proclaimed (and rightfully so) “hippest historian” around.

  • The Bikes Roll In: The Mother Road Motorcycle Show takes over the scene.

  • Snap Away: A vintage-themed photobooth captures your festival glow.

And just like that, by 8PM, the night wraps — but the buzz doesn’t fade.

✦ Saturday, October 14 | 10AM–8PM

This is the big one — an all-day ride through vintage and modern Route 66 magic.

  • Start Early: Vendors open their booths, bands set up, and the air fills with music and BBQ.

  • Live Music: From the soulful sounds of Garlin Hackney to a rocking finale with Cash’d Out — a Johnny Cash tribute you won’t forget.

  • Pin-Up Glam: The Queen of the Mother Road contest celebrates retro style in all its glory.

  • Cars, Cars, Cars: The Classic 66 Car Show stretches out like a chromed-up dream.

  • Let Loose: Shield toss competitions, graffiti contests (yes, you can paint a real decommissioned road sign!), and more.

  • Light It Up: Another neon demonstration to close out the night in glowing color.

By 8PM, the park winds down again… but you’ll carry the sound of those engines and guitars for days.

Keep the Road Alive

The fest doesn’t stop. Mark your calendar:

  • 🗓️ 2025: October 10–11
  • 🗓️ 2026: October 9–10

Because the road goes on, and Kingman’s celebration is only getting better each year.

If you’re doing Route 66 right, don’t just drive through Kingman. Time your journey around this weekend and let the spirit of the road wash over you. It’s nostalgic, wild, welcoming, and full of stories — just like the highway that runs through it.

And hey, maybe I’ll see you at the zipline line. 🎸🍻🚗
