The engines will roar once again along the Mother Road. From California to Illinois, the Main Street of America will come alive as a caravan of classic cars and passionate travelers retrace 2,448 miles of pure Americana — from the Pacific coast to the heart of the Midwest.
This is the Route 66 Centennial Caravan , a national celebration organized by the Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership , bringing together people, stories, and communities from all eight states that make up the most legendary highway in the world.
Route 66 Centennial Caravan: A Moving Celebration
Think of it as a rolling parade — not meant to replace the annual Motor Tours that each State Association proudly organizes, but to connect them all , mile after mile, town after town.
Each stop along the way will shine its own light, celebrating local heroes, vintage diners, neon signs, and the spirit that keeps Route 66 alive.
As the caravan cruises by, every community will have its moment — a reminder that they are all part of this great “linear village” that defines the Mother Road.
How the Caravan works
A core group of 10 to 12 cars will lead the way, crossing deserts, plains, and city skylines, stopping in countless small towns that still whisper the magic of the open road.
Everyone is invited to join , even also if for a day, a week, or the whole ride.
