I stopped at the Red Rocker with a smile — an enormous, joyful monument to roadside whimsy. It’s the kind of roadside oddity that makes you slow down, take a photo, and wish for a few more minutes; I would have gladly sat and rocked there for a while, if only it still moved. Even fixed in steel, it somehow swings you back in time — to simpler road-trip pleasures, popcorn at the general store, and the pleasure of being a curious traveler on Route 66.
